Train safely with this dumbbell set

The weights attach to the threaded bar with a collar. They secure the plates tightly onto the bar, even when holding them vertically. If you do dynamic training, make sure to check the tightness of the collars between 2 sets or if you hear the plates bang together. That being said, a little bit of play is normal for ensuring the plates can easily go on the bar.

Caring for your dumbbell set

Follow a few easy steps to make your dumbbell set last as long as possible. Before storing your equipment in its case, wipe your dumbbell and weights with a damp cloth. Then put the various parts of the set back into the slots provided in the case. Store the case in a dry spot. Moisture is your set's greatest enemy: never store it in a basement or outdoors.

What are the differences compared to vinyl and plastic?

- Cast iron is less sensitive to temperature variations, ensuring consistent use in different environments. - Compared to vinyl, cast iron is much more resistant to impacts, falls, and crushing, offering up to five times more durability. - Its textured surface provides an excellent grip even when your hands are damp, unlike plastic which tends to slip.

Following several years of experiments, Decathlon is replacing its entire range of cast iron products with recycled cast iron made from at least 80% scrap metal and steel waste – a real feat for the world of metal! We'll explain why: Because cast iron is more dense than vinyl, you can increase the number of discs on the bar (up to 32 kg on a single dumbbell, for example), which makes it easier to adjust your load and vary your exercises. Unlike plastic or vinyl weights, cast iron can last a lifetime.

How many kilos (max) can you add to the dumbbells?

These dumbbells can hold up to 30 kg each. Because the bars and collars weigh 2 kg, each dumbbell can weigh up to 32 kg, or 64 kg for both.
